It’s pretty much finished. I mounted the pumps and built a splash shield for them. To mount everything I used a tap and die set to create threads in the steel frame for some 1/4″ screws.
After dinging up the paint I’ve come to the conclusion that this paint might not work the best. But even if it dings up it will still help in stopping rust which was my main concern with everything. Maybe down the line I’ll strip everything off and maybe have it anodized, but I think anymore money that I’m going to put in will be moving up to a single barrel (31 US Gallon) system. Which I have planned for in this stand, the middle burner will come out and I will move it back to the Blichmann stand with the leg extensions for the HLT. Then the boil kettle and mash tun will sit on the brew stand.
I’ll get some final pictures up in the next couple days, next Friday we are breaking it in with a double batch day. We will be making a Red Hook Blonde clone since they took the beer of the market we can’t get it anymore and the second batch will be a test batch of Mike’s wedding, we’ll be designing 3 beers to serve at his wedding.
